這套《英國通俗小說菁華》是《美國通俗小說菁華》的姊妹篇，其編撰目的也同《美國通俗小說菁華》一樣，旨在為我國大專院校英語專業(yè)及相關(guān)專業(yè)的學(xué)生以及社會(huì)上廣大英語文學(xué)愛好者提供一座學(xué)習(xí)、欣賞英國通俗文學(xué)的橋梁。它將在我國國內(nèi)首次展示英國各個(gè)歷史時(shí)期的通俗文學(xué)發(fā)展的概貌，幫助廣大讀者在輕松、愉悅的閱讀過程中，熟悉、掌握英國最貼近社會(huì)生活的語言，從而快速地提高英語運(yùn)用能力。全套書約300萬字，共分三卷，本書為20世紀(jì)下半期卷，匯集了該時(shí)期膾炙人口的英國通俗小說精華36篇，涉及新歷史浪漫小說、超自然恐怖小說、新科學(xué)推測小說、間諜小說、色情小說、新魔法幻想小說、新女性小說、魔法恐怖小說、黃金偵探小說、英雄幻想小說、歷史言情小說、硬科學(xué)小說等12個(gè)主要通俗小說類型和36個(gè)重要作家。
作者簡介：
黃祿善，上海大學(xué)外國語學(xué)院英語系教授，外國通俗文學(xué)研究中心主任。上海作家協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)員，上海翻譯家協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)員。著有《美國通俗小說史》、《英美通俗小說概述》兩部專著，譯有《美國的悲劇》、《合伙人》、《鴿房女尸案》、《綠色貝雷帽》、《墓掘》、《荒島劍鳴》等10部長
