the publication of my first britannica is another important milestone in encyclopdia britannica’s chinese-language publishing program, now more than three decades old. my first britannica is the result of close collaboration between editors at encyclopdia britannica, inc., and zhejiang juvenile and children’s publishing house, in hangzhou.
《不列顛百科全書》的簡體中文產(chǎn)品出版事業(yè)迄今已有三十余年的歷史，這套《不列顛少兒百科全書》的出版是這一事業(yè)的又一個重要的里程碑。這套新的百科全書是美國不列顛百科全書公司同浙江少年兒童出版社雙方編輯通力合作的成果。
as with others around the world, china’s young readers will find my first britannica instructive, engaging, and hard to put down. you will see a huge array of colorful photos and original artwork that enhance the hundreds of articles on fascinating topics, such as the earth, plants and animals, folklore, geography, and important people in history. you will learn, for example, which ocean is the largest and which is the youngest, which bird is the biggest, which grass is the tallest, which city is called the “l(fā)ion city,” and what a pyramid is.
